CANADA'S DONATION TO THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH

The Canada Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) through their High Commission Office in Wellington, NZ, donates a grant of CAD100,000 for the Ministry of Health to support and strengthen the implementation of the Ministry’s COVID-19 Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Plan. The Public Health Division of the Ministry is responsible for the implementation of the COVID-19 RCCE Plan which aims at informing, guiding and empowering the people of Tonga to be well prepared and prompt action that can protect individuals, families, communities, and the nation at large from COVID-19 once it arrives Tongan shore.

The Ministry of Health is very honoured and thanks the Government of Canada for their generous support in strengthening Tonga’s preparedness and response effort to COVID-19 pandemic and other health development programs.
