Ministry of Health visit with National Forum of Church Leaders Tonga

Hon. Minister of Health Hon. Associate Professor 'Amelia Afuha'amango Tu'ipulotu met on Tuesday 14 April with the National Forum of the Church Leaders of Tonga at Basilica.

Chaired by the President of the Free Church of Tonga Rev. Semisi Fonua, the Honourable Minister, accompanied by CEO Dr. Siale 'Akau'ola and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Reynold 'Ofanoa, thanked the most auspicious gathering for their time and more importantly, their ongoing support. She acknowledged that the churches were very proactive in implementing preventative measures and their roles were undoubtedly instrumental in ensuring order and compliance.

The meeting discussed the way forward and how to continue this invaluable partnership.
The Hon. Minister also thanked the Church Leaders for all their prayers.
The Honourable Chair of the meeting asked that the Minister convey their best wishes to Government and that they remain supportive of their efforts and will pray for the country.

The Ministry of Health recognises the key role the Church Leaders have and again thanks them for their guidance and prayers.
