GIFTS FROM HEILALA VANILLA

Heilala Vanilla presented to Vaiola Hospital a pallet of hand sanitizers infused with vanilla grown in Vava'u and manufactured in New Zealand to assist with Tonga's preparations against COVID-19.

This new product was created when the company realized that their Tongan grown vanilla had similar ingredients to that used for production of sanitizer (ethanol and glycerin).

Representatives of Heilala Vanilla presented the gifts to the Minister for Health Hon. Associate Professor 'Amelia Afuha'amano Tu'ipulotu. CEO for Health Dr. Siale 'Akau'ola and other senior health officials were also present.

Also present at the presentation was New Zealand's High Commissioner HE Tiffany Babbington.

The Ministry of Health is grateful for such innovative companies and their donation to Vaiola Hospital.
